Punjab NEET PG 2025 Round 2: 400 MD, MS Seats Allotted; 53 New Seats Added

Around 400 MD, MS, and diploma seats have been allotted in the second round of Punjab NEET PG 2025 counselling. Shortlisted candidates must complete their admission process by reporting to their allotted college between December 28 and 30 . This follows the revised counselling schedule, which incorporated 53 new postgraduate medical seats.

The Punjab NEET PG round 2 allotment results show that Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana; Government Medical College, Patiala; and Government Medical College, Amritsar were the most preferred institutions among top-ranking candidates.

New Seats Added to Colleges

The state counselling dates were extended due to the addition of 53 new seats. These seats were introduced across four medical colleges in Punjab, following an interim order issued by the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The specific allocation of these new seats is detailed below:

Officials stated that the increased seats at Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences, Bathinda, are subject to the final outcome of CWP No. 39046 of 2025.

Objection and Revision Process

Candidates with grievances regarding their provisional seat allotment must submit objections by 11 AM on December 27 . Submissions must be sent via email to pgbfuhs@ggsmch.org. If valid objections are received, the provisional allotment list will be revised. The final allotment list will then be displayed on December 27 .

Admission Procedures

Selected students must pay the balance of their six-month fee. This payment is made through the university payment gateway after deducting the security deposit amount. Medical colleges will conduct the necessary document verification and complete the admission process from December 28 to 30 .

This round of counselling concludes the seat allotment for postgraduate medical and diploma courses in Punjab for 2025, offering additional opportunities to eligible candidates.
