Punjab NEET PG 2025 Round 1 counselling registrations are now open. The Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot, is conducting admissions for various postgraduate medical programs. These include MD, MS, PG Diploma, and DNB seats. Interested candidates must complete their online registration by November 3 .
The counselling process uses the NEET PG score for admissions. This year, the PG Diploma in Sports Medicine offered by Netaji National Institute of Sports Patiala has also been included. BFUHS announced the complete state counselling schedule shortly after the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) released its NEET PG counselling notification on October 28.
Candidates seeking admission under the Punjab state quota must register through the official BFUHS portal, bfuhs.ac.in. The online application form submission, corrections, and fee payment all have deadlines on November 3 .
A separate process exists for Non-Resident Indian (NRI) candidates. Those applying under the NRI quota must first obtain an eligibility certificate directly from BFUHS. This certificate is mandatory before submitting the Round 1 counselling application form. BFUHS hosts a dedicated application portal for NRI applicants.
Following the application period, BFUHS will verify candidate eligibility. This includes scrutiny of applications under the minority quota. The provisional Punjab NEET PG merit list 2025 is scheduled for publication on November 6 .

Minority Quota Verification Process
Specific dates are set for minority quota verifications on November 4 . Candidates applying under the Christian minority quota must report to Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, for eligibility checks. Sikh minority quota applicants will undergo verification at SGRD Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Amritsar, on the same date.
Application Fee Structure
The counselling application fees vary based on the candidate’s category:
- General Category: The fee is Rs 5,900 . This amount includes a base fee of Rs 5,000 plus an 18% Goods and Services Tax (GST).
- Reserved Category (e.g., SC): The fee is Rs 2,950 . This includes a base fee of Rs 2,500 plus applicable charges.
- NRI Candidates: An application fee of USD 1,500 is required, or its equivalent amount in Indian Rupees. Payment must be made through a Demand Draft. The Demand Draft should be drawn in favor of “Registrar, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences” and must be payable at Faridkot.
