Punjab NEET PG 2025: College Reporting Deadline Extended to Dec 7

FARIDKOT, PUNJAB — The deadline for college reporting in the Punjab National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2025 Round 1 counselling has been extended to December 7 , 2025. Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot, which oversees the state’s medical admissions, announced this revision. The extension became necessary after corrections to the provisional seat allotment results, initially published on November 25, 2025.

Candidates who secured seats in the Punjab NEET PG 2025 Round 1 allotment must now complete their college joining formalities. The revised window for reporting to their respective medical or dental postgraduate institutes is from December 2 to December 7 , 2025. This process typically involves document verification, fee payment, and confirmation of the allocated seat, ensuring all admitted students can finalize their enrollment after the result adjustments.

Technical Error Prompts Result Revisions

BFUHS attributed the schedule change to a “technical oversight or syntax error” detected in the initial provisional result. The university published this first version of the provisional allotment on November 25, 2025. It contained discrepancies affecting certain candidates’ allocations. Upon identifying these errors, BFUHS promptly initiated necessary corrections, leading to the release of revised provisional results. These revisions directly necessitated the adjustment of the college joining timeline.

An official notice from BFUHS confirmed the adjustments. It stated, “Due to technical oversight/syntax error in the 1st round PG Medical counseling provisional result published on 27.11.2025, the provisional result of following candidates is hereby revised after necessary corrections.” The notice further clarified the timeline, adding, “The dates of joining are also hereby revised in consonance with the revised schedule released by the MCC and candidates will join the respective colleges/institutions from 02.12.2025 to 07.12.2025.” This alignment with the Medical Counselling Committee’s (MCC) broader schedule ensures uniformity for candidates.

Round 1 Allotment Figures
