Practical Examination Guidelines
Practical assessments for Class 8 are scheduled from February 2 to February 12, 2026 . Schools will host these examinations. Authorities have instructed schools to arrange practical exam timings carefully. This scheduling must prevent any conflicts between subjects for individual students. The centre superintendent bears the responsibility to ensure all candidates receive advance notification of their specific practical examination dates.
The PSEB will not issue question papers for practical subjects. Instead, subject teachers at the school level will create the necessary practical question papers. The answer sheets generated from these practical exams must remain under the custody of the school head. These records are required for verification purposes. Schools must upload all practical examination marks to the designated board app. This upload must occur within three days of the practical examinations’ start date.
Special Provisions for Exams
The PSEB has outlined specific provisions for certain students and subjects. Examinations for students with special abilities will be conducted entirely at the school level. Furthermore, subjects such as Cutting and Sewing, and Needle Work are designated as practical-only. No written examinations will be administered for these specific subjects.
Other PSEB Board Exam Dates 2026
Beyond Class 8, the Punjab School Education Board has also released schedules for other upcoming board exams. The PSEB Class 10 board exams 2026 are set to run from March 6 to March 27 . Class 12 board exams 2026 will be conducted from February 17 to April 1 .
