PM Modi: AI Aids Learning, Don’t Replace Study

Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged students to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a tool for learning, not a replacement for it. During the ninth edition of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ on February 6, Modi advised students against letting technology control them.

AI as a Tool, Not a Master

Modi addressed students in Coimbatore, Raipur, Guwahati, and Gujarat. He stated that technology, including AI and mobile phones, should guide and add value to studies. It should not become a substitute for genuine learning.

He warned that some students become overly reliant on smartphones. They struggle to perform basic activities like eating without screen access. Modi emphasized making a conscious decision to control technology’s influence.

“We should try not to make AI or mobile the master,” Modi stated. He encouraged using AI efficiently for skill enhancement.

Focus on Skills and Well-being

The prime minister highlighted the evolving nature of jobs. He compared past transport shifts to current technological advancements. Modi stressed that understanding technology and adapting skills is key to progress.

For exams, Modi advised practicing past papers. He also stressed the importance of adequate sleep for better performance and reduced stress.

Parents were advised not to compare their children with others. This can reduce pressure and foster individual growth.

Qualities of Future Leaders

Modi outlined key qualities for future leaders. Fearlessness was identified as the primary trait. He encouraged taking initiative and inspiring others through action.

Leadership, he explained, is about convincing and guiding people. It requires understanding others before directing them. Developing a mindset for initiative is crucial.

Effective communication is another vital leadership skill. Leaders must clearly convey their thoughts to others.

Career Choices and Startups

Addressing career aspirations, Modi acknowledged that inspiration from successful people is natural. He advised students to examine the effort and discipline behind success, not just the achievements.

Balancing studies and passions was also discussed. Modi suggested that both can complement each other. Creativity can enhance learning and reduce fatigue.

For aspiring entrepreneurs, Modi recommended focusing on their chosen field first. He suggested forming small, skilled teams for innovation and practical solutions.

Starting a venture has no age limit. Even small startups can have a significant impact. Modi encouraged students to research existing startups and develop project reports.

Viksit Bharat Dream

Modi expressed happiness that students are embracing the dream of a ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’. He encouraged adopting habits of developed nations, such as reducing waste and conserving energy.

Discipline was highlighted as essential. Modi recalled his teachers’ emphasis on physical exercise for health.

He acknowledged the significant role of mothers and teachers in shaping individuals’ lives.
