The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has postponed Class 10 and 12 examinations scheduled for November 6, 2025 , across India. The postponement is due to the Bihar Assembly Elections and related administrative challenges. New exam dates for affected subjects will be announced shortly.
Specifically, the NIOS Class 12 exams for Physics (312), History (315), Environmental Science (333), and Library and Information Science (339) have been deferred. The Class 10 Painting (225) exam is also postponed. Exams at overseas centres will proceed as per the original schedule.
NIOS advises all candidates to regularly visit the official website for the latest updates on rescheduled examination dates. The full NIOS Class 10 and 12 examination schedule for 2025 runs from October 14 to November 18 . All other examinations not scheduled for November 6 will continue as planned.
For instance, tomorrow, November 7 , the Class 10 Science and Technology (212) exam will proceed. Class 12 students will appear for Data Entry Operations (Theory) (336) on the same day.
