NEET UG Counselling 2025: MCC Adds Two Rounds, Gujarat Fills 33 BDS Seats

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced two additional counselling rounds for BDS and BSc Nursing All India Quota (AIQ) seats. The MCC also released the state-level counselling schedule for these vacant seats. The final round of NEET UG 2025 counselling will conclude on December 31 .

Separately, Gujarat’s Admission Committee for Professional Under Graduate Medical Courses (ACPUGMEC) will conduct its own Rounds 5 and 6. These rounds aim to fill 33 vacant BDS seats in Gujarat. Online registration for these Gujarat seats closed on December 11, at 5 pm .

MCC Counselling Details

NEET UG Round 5 choice filling concluded on December 11, at 11 am . Candidates were required to lock their preferences by this deadline.

Round 5 seat allotment results will be declared on December 12 on the official website, mcc.nic.in. Seats remaining unfilled after Round 5 will proceed to Round 6. Registration for Round 6 is scheduled to begin on December 20 .

In the previous Round 4, 1,129 candidates were allotted seats. The final NEET UG 2025 counselling round will conclude on December 31 .

Gujarat NEET UG Counselling

ACPUGMEC will conduct two additional rounds to fill 33 vacant BDS seats. These seats are categorized as follows:

Online registration for these seats closed on December 11, at 5 pm . Document verification is scheduled for December 12 .

To participate, candidates must purchase a non-refundable PIN for Rs 1,000 . A refundable security deposit of Rs 10,000 is also required. After online registration, candidates must schedule an appointment for document verification. Self-attested documents are submitted at one of 29 state-government help centres.

Eligibility Criteria for Final Counselling Rounds

Specific eligibility criteria apply to candidates wishing to participate in these final counselling rounds:

  • Candidates must have passed Class 12 science stream from schools in Gujarat. Eligible boards include the state board, central board, CISCE, Cambridge University, or NIOS.
  • Applicants must possess a valid NEET UG 2025 score issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
  • Candidates must not have registered in the first four rounds of counselling.
  • Those who did not confirm admission after Round 2 allotment, or exited with forfeiture of the security deposit, and failed to complete fresh registration during Rounds 3 and 4 are eligible.
  • Candidates already admitted to MBBS, BDS, or AYUSH courses are not considered for these vacant seats.
  • Those allotted seats in the fourth round of counselling are ineligible.
  • Additionally, 134 candidates who cancelled their AYUSH seats cannot apply for Gujarat’s final NEET UG counselling rounds.
