The application window opened on February 8, 2026 . It will close on March 8, 2026 . The NEET UG 2026 exam is scheduled for May 3, 2026 . The exam will be administered in an offline, pen-and-paper format.
Exam Structure
The NEET UG 2026 paper will contain 180 questions . Each correctly answered question is worth four marks. There is no information yet regarding negative marking.

- Read all instructions carefully.

New Application Rules
The NTA has introduced new rules for NEET UG 2026 applications:
- Candidates must use Aadhaar-based e-KYC for identity verification.
- A live photograph will be captured during application submission. This image will be cross-referenced with the photograph on the Aadhaar card.
- If the live photo does not match the Aadhaar photo, candidates must provide valid supporting documentation.
- Exam centers will be assigned based on a candidate’s permanent or present address.

- Class 12 marksheet or certificate of appearing.
- Passport-sized photograph.
