The National Testing Agency (NTA) is opening the NEET UG 2026 application correction window on March 12 . Students have until March 14, 2026 , to make changes to their submitted forms. The official deadline for edits is March 14, 2026, at 11:50 PM .
Application Correction Details
Candidates can access the correction portal on the NTA’s official NEET UG website: neet.nta.nic.in . This is a limited opportunity for applicants to rectify errors in their registration. Only one correction window will be provided.
Editable Fields
The NTA has specified which details can be modified. Certain fields allow only one specific change, while others permit multiple edits.
Fields with Limited Changes
- Candidates can alter either:
- Father’s Name, Qualification, and Occupation
- OR Mother’s Name, Qualification, and Occupation
Fields with Multiple Edits
- Educational qualification details (Class X and Class XII)
- State/UT for 12th/Equivalent passed or appearing
- Category
- Sub-category/PwD status
- Signature
- Number of attempts in NEET (UG)
Fields Tied to Address
- Examination City Selection
- Medium of the Examination
Identity Details
- Candidates not using Aadhaar for identity can change their identity details.
Important Notes for Corrections
Applicants must exercise extreme caution during the correction period. Once submitted, the application form is final. No changes will be accepted after the March 14 deadline.
Corrections may incur an additional fee. Candidates are responsible for paying any required fees to finalize their edits. The NTA will not refund excess payments.
NEET UG 2026 Exam Schedule
The NEET UG 2026 exam is scheduled for Sunday, May 3, 2026 . The test will be conducted from 2 PM to 5 PM . This examination will use a traditional pen-and-paper format across numerous centers in India and abroad.
