The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) revised the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test – PG (NEET PG 2025) counselling schedule. Registration for Round 2 opens from December 5 to 9 on the official website, mcc.nic.in. Institutes will verify data for candidates allotted seats in Round 1 from December 2 to 3 .
Counselling Schedule Updates
The updated schedule outlines key dates for all remaining counselling rounds. This includes registration, choice filling, seat allotment processing, and reporting to colleges.
The National Medical Commission (NMC) recently made changes to the availability of postgraduate seats. NMC added 239 PG seats in deemed universities. Simultaneously, it removed 235 PG DNB seats from 186 government and 49 private colleges.
MCC announced the NEET PG counselling 2025 Round 1 seat allotment results on November 21. A total of 26,889 candidates received seat allotments. This figure includes 466 Non-Resident Indian (NRI) candidates. General Medicine was a top choice among selected candidates.
NEET PG 2025 Overview
More than 2 lakh candidates appeared for the NEET PG 2025 exam. Of these, 1,28,116 candidates qualified. The MCC manages NEET PG counselling for 50% of the All India Quota (AIQ) seats. These seats are for postgraduate medical and dental programs across government, deemed, and private medical colleges.
