NEET PG 2025 Data Leak: 1.38 Lakh Candidates’ Info Sold Online

The personal data of over 1.38 lakh NEET PG 2025 candidates has been leaked and is actively being sold online. This significant privacy breach has ignited widespread anger among medical aspirants and doctors. Calls for immediate accountability are directed at the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) and the National Medical Commission (NMC).

Massive Data Breach Impacts Medical Aspirants

The leaked database reportedly contains highly confidential information belonging to candidates for the NEET PG 2025 examination. This includes names, fathers’ names, phone numbers, email addresses, application IDs, roll numbers, cities, states, scores, and ranks. Multiple online platforms and Telegram channels are offering this “NEET PG 2025 Student Database” for purchase. Prices range from ₹3,000 to ₹8,500, with some listings offering the full dataset for as low as ₹3,599.

To attract buyers, sellers have shared sample data, displaying details of approximately 200 students. Random checks have confirmed the authenticity of leaked phone numbers. Many affected aspirants have expressed shock and concern regarding their exposed personal details.

Key Data Points Leaked:

Application Specifics Application IDs, Roll Numbers, Scores, Ranks
Location Data Cities, States

Leaked Data Fuels Unsolicited Calls

Affected candidates report a surge in unsolicited calls and messages. These communications originate from private “counsellors” promising postgraduate medical seats. The offers often involve management and NRI quotas, bypassing the official Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) process. One anonymous candidate stated, “I have received calls from NEET PG counsellors for the past few days. Many websites are selling the NEET PG 2025 student database. This is a complete breach of privacy.”

Outcry on Social Media Demands Action

The incident has caused significant outrage across social media platforms. Doctors and medical students are strongly condemning the data leak. Dr. Vibhor Gupta, founder of The Medical Bulletin, posted on X, highlighting the sale of 1,38,456 aspirants’ data for ₹3,599. He noted that sample data was publicly displayed.

Medical student Abhishek Ranjan also criticized the situation. He stated, “#NEETPG students’ personal data, ID, roll number — all being sold online like a commodity. NMC and its IT partners have failed in protecting students’ privacy. This is a criminal betrayal of trust.” Another user, @Indian__doctor, called the situation “OUTRAGEOUS!” and condemned the authorities, saying, “Shame on @NMC_BHARAT. Shame on the entire rotten system.”

Dr. Logik further expressed frustration, stating, “Data of all NEET PG 2025 candidates has been leaked. Each exam conducting authority in this era is a joke. No privacy, no accountability!”

NEET PG Faces Growing Controversies

This data leak adds to existing controversies surrounding NEET PG 2025. Previous issues include exam cancellations and court delays. Following the NEET PG 2025 Result announcement, some students approached the Supreme Court demanding greater transparency, including the release of answer keys. This new privacy breach further underscores concerns about the integrity and security of the examination process.
