MP SET 2025 Exam Postponed: New Dates Awaited

BHOPAL – The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has postponed the MP State Eligibility Test (MP SET 2025). The exam, originally scheduled for January 11, 2026 , will now be held on a new date yet to be announced.

The commission cited “unavoidable reasons” for the delay. An official notice confirmed the postponement, stating, “Due to unavoidable reasons, the said examination is hereby postponed. The new date for the examination will be announced separately. All other conditions mentioned in the advertisement shall remain unchanged.”

Exam Purpose and Application Details

The MP SET determines candidate eligibility for assistant professor positions in universities and colleges across Madhya Pradesh. The application window for MP SET 2025 closed on November 20, 2025 . Candidates had an opportunity to correct their application forms between October 30 and November 22, 2025 .

MP SET 2025 Exam Structure

The MP SET 2025 will proceed in offline mode. The examination comprises two papers, with a combined duration of three hours. The total marks for the exam are 300.

Paper 1 is mandatory for all candidates. It focuses on general teaching and research aptitude. This paper includes 50 multiple-choice questions, totaling 100 marks.
