MP NEET PG Counselling Overview

MP NEET PG counselling manages admissions to medical colleges across Madhya Pradesh. The counselling process allocates seats under two primary categories. Fifty percent of seats are reserved under the All India Quota (AIQ). The remaining fifty percent fall under the state quota for candidates from Madhya Pradesh.

A recent ruling by the Madhya Pradesh High Court significantly impacts state quota distribution. The High Court quashed a specific quota previously reserved for state MBBS graduates. This decision cited a breach of the 50% reservation cap mandated for such quotas. The ruling ensures all state quota seats adhere to established reservation limits.

Key Document Requirements

Candidates reporting to their allotted colleges must present a specific set of documents for admission confirmation. Failure to provide required documents may lead to admission cancellation.

Revised Bond Policy for Upgradation

The DME MP has introduced a crucial change regarding bond submissions for candidates seeking upgradation in subsequent rounds. Previously, candidates were required to submit a rural service bond and a seat-leaving bond. A rural service bond commits doctors to work in rural areas for a set period after graduation. A seat-leaving bond typically imposes a financial penalty if a candidate vacates a seat after admission.

Under the revised policy, candidates seeking upgradation in the 2nd or mop-up rounds are exempt from submitting these bonds during the 1st or 2nd stages of admission. Instead, they must provide a notarised affidavit. This affidavit, to be submitted on a Rs 500 stamp paper, declares the candidate’s commitment. It states they will submit the required service bond if they do not secure an upgraded seat in the later rounds.

Seat Resignation Rules

Candidates can resign from an allotted seat without penalty under specific conditions. Resignation must occur two days before the commencement of Round 2 counselling. For candidates resigning within this timeframe, the seat-leaving bond will not be applicable. These candidates remain eligible to participate in Round 2 counselling, allowing them to seek an alternative seat.
