MHT CET 2026: Record 11.42 Lakh Registrations for PCM, PCB

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has received a record 11,42,610 registrations for the MHT CET 2026 exam. This figure represents the highest number of applications in the past four years for the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) and Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) groups.

Of the total registrations, 7,60,981 candidates applied for the PCM group. The PCB group received 3,81,629 applications. This year marks the first time a two-attempt system is available for both PCM and PCB, aligning with national entrance exam patterns.

Registration Breakdown

A total of 7,40,906 students registered for the first attempt across both PCM and PCB streams. The second attempt saw 3,83,981 candidates applying. The PCM group specifically saw an increase of 2.24% in first-attempt registrations compared to the previous year, with 4,74,656 students registering this year versus 4,64,262 in 2025.

Exam Schedule and Application Correction

The MHT CET 2026 examinations will be conducted online. The first attempt for the PCM group is scheduled from April 11 to April 19 . The second attempt for PCM will take place from May 14 to May 17 .

For the PCB group, the first attempt is scheduled from April 21 to April 26 . The second attempt for PCB will be held from May 10 to May 11 .

The application form correction window will open on March 5 and close on March 7 . Students can edit details including name, date of birth, photograph, signature, gender, and group selection (PCM or PCB). They can also opt for the second attempt during this period.
