The registration deadline for the Master of Computer Application (MCA) and Master of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (MHMCT) programs has been extended again. Students can now apply for the MHT CET 2026 MHMCT and MCA entrance exams on the official website, cetcell.mahacet.org, until February 23 .
Exam Schedule
The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell Maharashtra will conduct the MHMCT exam on March 25 . The MCA exam is scheduled for March 30 .
Application Fees
Candidates from the General category, both from Maharashtra and other states, must pay an application fee of Rs 1,500 for MAH CET 2026. Candidates belonging to backward classes, SC, ST, EWS, and other reserved categories are required to pay Rs 1,300 .
Eligibility Criteria
For the MCA program , candidates need a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate marks. Reserved categories require 45%.
For the MHMCT program , candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management and Catering Technology or an equivalent qualification.
Students appearing in their final year of their qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for both programs.
Aadhaar and APAAR Registration
The State Cell has clarified that students facing technical issues with Aadhaar and APAAR authentication can apply for the MHT CET 2026 registration without it. This update addresses concerns raised by students unable to complete the process due to technical glitches.
Earlier, the State Cell commissioner stated that no candidate would be barred from the exam due to minor mismatches in application details. Candidates are advised to update their Aadhaar details promptly to avoid any registration issues.
