Manipur CM Pledges Action on Sainik School Imphal Challenges

Manipur Chief Minister Y Khemchand Singh pledged to address infrastructure issues at Sainik School Imphal during a visit on Sunday. School Principal Col A Rajiv presented key concerns to the CM.

Challenges at Sainik School Imphal

The school faces deteriorating infrastructure. Irregular water supply is a problem. The perimeter wall requires strengthening. A girls’ hostel construction is pending. The Vikram Batra auditorium has sound clarity issues. These were highlighted by Col Rajiv.

Col Rajiv also reported the school’s academic successes. Cadets performed well in competitive exams. Students participated in national events.

The Chief Minister assured prompt action. He stated issues would go to relevant departments. Singh emphasized student welfare. He called it a top priority.

Campus Inspection and Interaction

Chief Minister Singh inspected campus facilities. He assessed needs for construction and repairs. He met with alumni, staff, and students. Singh encouraged academic and extracurricular achievement.

The CM met student Memota Keisham. She participated in ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’. This interaction was with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Keisham was one of 15 students selected. Nearly 4 crore students participated nationally.

Singh commended Keisham’s confidence. He praised her achievement. The school contributes to developing disciplined youth. Singh acknowledged its efforts despite challenges.
