Maharashtra SSC Class 10 English Exam 2026: Feb 27

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) will conduct the Class 10 English examination on February 27, 2026 . The exam is scheduled for the morning shift, running from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Students can access their hall tickets through the official Maharashtra board website at mahahsscboard.in. A minimum of 35% is required in each subject and overall to pass the examination. The board offers grace marks to students who fall short by two or three marks in one or more subjects.

A total of 16,15,489 students are registered for the Maharashtra SSC Class 10 Board Exams 2026. This includes 8,65,740 boys, 7,49,736 girls, and 13 transgender students. Examinations will be held across 23,683 schools at over 5,100 testing centers statewide.

SSC Class 10 English Exam Pattern

The English paper assesses reading comprehension, grammar, and writing skills. The written exam comprises sections on Reading Skills (textual) and Reading Skills (non-textual), each worth 20 marks. Grammar accounts for 15 marks. Writing Skills carries the largest portion of the written section with 25 marks.

An internal assessment component, including oral tests, contributes 20 marks to the final score. The total marks for the English examination, combining written and internal assessment, is 100.
