Maharashtra NEET PG 2025 Round 2 Results: 2,672 Unallocated

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell) has officially declared the provisional seat allotment results for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) PG Round 2, for the 2025 admissions cycle. Of the 4,789 candidates listed in the Maharashtra NEET PG Round 2 allotment, 2,672 did not secure a seat. This non-allocation occurred due to the unavailability of their chosen preferences.

According to the updated Maharashtra NEET PG Round 2 seat matrix, the state had 1,952 available seats in this provisional list. These available seats contributed to a total of 2,638 vacant MD (Doctor of Medicine) and MS (Master of Surgery) seats across Maharashtra after the second round of counselling.

Round 2 Reporting and Retention Procedures

Candidates successfully allotted a seat in the second round must report in person to their respective colleges. This physical reporting period is scheduled from December 26, 2025, to December 30, 2025 . All reporting activities must conclude by 5:30 PM on December 30.

During this reporting window, candidates are also required to fill out and submit a “Status Retention Form.” This form must be submitted in person at the allotted college by December 30, 2025, 5:30 PM .

The CET Cell has clarified specific criteria for in-service candidates. In-service candidates who do not possess incentive marks will only be considered for quota seats after the approved list of other eligible candidates has been fully exhausted.
