A Class 5 student at Army Public School in Lucknow has reportedly lost his vision following an assault by two classmates. The incident occurred on January 21, approximately 12:30 PM, on school grounds.
Assault Details Emerge
The child’s mother filed a complaint with Cantt Police Station on January 30. Her complaint states that a student from another Class 5 section and a Class 3 student attacked her son. The alleged attackers knocked the victim to the ground. They then reportedly rubbed the heel of a shoe on his eyes and face, causing severe injuries.
Student’s Condition and School Response
The victim is currently receiving treatment at Command Hospital. His eyesight has been affected by the injuries sustained. The mother’s complaint also alleges that school authorities were informed of the incident. She claims they failed to address the situation appropriately.
Police Investigation Underway
Police confirmed receipt of the complaint. An First Information Report (FIR) was registered on January 30. Authorities are conducting further investigations into the matter. The mother has requested strict action against the students involved and school staff for alleged negligence.
