The Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC) has released the provisional allotment list for Civil Excise Officer (Trainee) recruitment. This list pertains to direct recruitment within the Kerala Excise and Prohibition Department, specifically for Malappuram district.
A total of 223 candidates appear on the provisional list. This comprises 169 candidates from the main list and 54 from the supplementary list. These individuals are now eligible to proceed to the Physical Measurement and Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
Candidate selection was based on performance in two key examinations. A common OMR test was conducted on May 17, 2025 . This was followed by an endurance test held on September 16 and 17 . The provisional status of these candidates is subject to further verification.
The pay scale established for Civil Excise Trainees falls within the range of Rs 27,900 and Rs 63,700 . The PSC has clarified that inclusion of a registration number on this provisional list does not automatically grant any right to be included in the final ranking list.
Physical Test Schedule and Candidate Requirements
The commission will announce the specific date, time, and venue for the upcoming physical tests. This vital information will be communicated to candidates through various channels, including SMS, direct messages to their online profiles, and announcements in both print and electronic media.
Shortlisted candidates are required to download their admission tickets for the physical test. These tickets must be retrieved from their One-Time Registration (OTR) profiles on the official PSC website,keralapsc.gov.in.
For the physical test, candidates must appear in person. They are mandated to present their official hall ticket, a valid medical certificate, and an original form of identification. Failure to produce these documents may result in exclusion from the test.
Furthermore, during the OTR verification process, candidates must produce additional documentation. This includes their community certificate and, if applicable, their Economically Weaker Section (EWS) certificate. These documents confirm eligibility based on specific reservation criteria.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) Guidelines
The Kerala PSC has outlined strict rules for the PET. Physical measurements of candidates will be taken prior to the commencement of the PET. Only candidates who successfully meet the prescribed physical measurement standards will be admitted to the test phases.
The commission also stated a clear policy regarding incidents during the PET. If a candidate experiences an accident or sustains an injury while participating, they will not be granted a subsequent opportunity to take the examination. This emphasizes the importance of preparedness and safety.
OMR Test Answer Script Policies
Regarding the OMR test answer scripts, revaluation is strictly not allowed under current rules. This means candidates cannot request a complete re-evaluation of their marked answers.
However, candidates do have the option to request a recheck of their answer scripts. This rechecking process can only be initiated after the official publication of the final ranked list for the recruitment.
Copies of the OMR test answer scripts can also be obtained. Candidates interested in receiving a copy must submit an application and pay a prescribed fee. This option becomes available only after the ranked list has received official approval from the commission.
