BENGALURU – The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has set October 7, 2025 , as the final date for candidates to complete the Karnataka PGCET 2025 choice filling process. This follows the release of Round 1 seat allotment results on October 4, 2025 . Candidates allotted a seat must submit their choices on the official KEA website:cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/pgcet2025.
The choice filling process is a critical step for candidates to indicate their acceptance or rejection of the allocated seat. Four distinct choices are available, each with specific implications for future counselling rounds.
Understanding the Four Choices
Candidates must select one of four choices after the Karnataka PGCET Round 1 seat allotment. Each choice determines the candidate’s next steps and eligibility for further counselling rounds.
Choice 1: Accept and Secure
- Condition: Candidates are satisfied with their allotted seat and do not wish to participate in PGCET Round 2 counselling.
- Action: Pay the admission fee. Download the admission confirmation slip. Report to the allotted college before the specified deadline.
Choice 2: Accept and Float
- Condition: Candidates are satisfied with the current allotment but wish to explore options for a better seat in Round 2 counselling.
- Action: Pay the admission fee. Do not download the confirmation slip. Do not report to the allotted college at this stage.
- Note: If a better seat is allotted in Round 2, the current seat will be released to another candidate. If no better seat is found, the Round 1 seat remains.
Choice 3: Reject and Participate
- Condition: Candidates are not satisfied with the Round 1 allotment and wish to participate in the Round 2 allotment process.
- Action: Do not pay the admission fee.
- Note: If no college is allotted in Round 2, candidates cannot claim the seat from Round 1 PGCET seat allotment.
Choice 4: Reject and Exit
- Condition: Candidates are not satisfied with the allotted seat and wish to withdraw from the entire Karnataka PGCET counselling process.
- Action: No further action is required for counselling.
- Note: Such candidates are not eligible to participate in any subsequent rounds of Karnataka PGCET counselling.
