The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) will conduct Chemistry and Basic Mathematics exams for second Pre-University Course (PUC) students on March 12, 2026 . These exams are scheduled from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Students must bring their admit cards and a government-issued identification card to the examination center for verification. It is advised that all candidates arrive at their designated exam center at least one hour before the exam begins, which is 9:00 AM.
Exam Schedule and Structure
The KSEAB will administer the Karnataka 2nd PUC exams until March 17, 2026. A subsequent set of exams is planned from April 25 to May 9, 2026. The board conducts PUC examinations three times annually: in March, April-May, and June.
The format for the Basic Mathematics paper includes various question types. The total marks for the examination are 70, with a maximum of 32 questions. Students can expect Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Fill in the Blanks, Short Answer, Long Answer, Essay Type, and Case Study/Application-based questions.

Special Provisions
Differently-abled students will receive additional time for their examinations. The duration of extra time varies based on the exam’s total scheduled time. For a 3-hour paper, students get an additional 60 minutes. A 2-hour and 30-minute paper allows for 50 extra minutes. For a 2-hour paper, 40 additional minutes are provided. Students taking a 1-hour and 30-minute paper receive an extra 30 minutes.
