The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 results and the final answer key for Paper 1 today. Over 13 lakh students registered for the engineering entrance examination. The official websites for result access are jeemain.nta.nic.in and nta.ac.in.
Reports indicate the results and final answer key may be released on February 11. Some sources suggest the answer key will be published today, with results following on February 12. Candidates should monitor the official NTA websites for precise release times.
Last year, 13,11,54 candidates registered for Session 1. Of these, 12,58,136 appeared, representing a 95.93% attendance rate. The JEE Main exam is a computer-based test offered in 13 languages.
Understanding the NTA Score
NTA scores will be based on the final answer key. This key is prepared after experts review objections raised by candidates. The Coaching Federation of India reported 17 errors in the Session 1 exams.
The NTA score reflects raw marks obtained by a candidate. For exams conducted across multiple shifts, like JEE Main Session 2, the NTA uses a normalization method. This process calculates scores for physics, chemistry, and mathematics, as well as total scores.
For candidates appearing in both Session 1 and Session 2, the best NTA score achieved in the total score will be used for final merit ranking. Individual subject scores are not merged; only the overall best total score is considered.
