JEE Main 2026 Examination Structure

The JEE (Main) – 2026 examination will be conducted in 13 languages. These include English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. Candidates select their preferred language during the application process. The examination consists of three distinct papers: Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.), Paper 2A (B. Arch.), and Paper 2B (B. Planning).

Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.)

Paper 1 is designed for admission to B.E./B.Tech. courses. It is conducted entirely in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The paper comprises three subjects: Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Each subject is divided into Section A and Section B. Section A contains 20 compulsory questions. Section B has 10 questions, out of which candidates must attempt any 5.
