IIT Patna Partners with Lincoln University for New Courses

The Indian Institute of Technology Patna (IIT Patna) has partnered with Lincoln University in Australia. This collaboration aims to offer new undergraduate and postgraduate courses. It also seeks to boost global academic exposure for students and faculty.

Joint Academic Programs Announced

The partnership will enable joint research initiatives. It will also facilitate faculty and student exchange programs between the two institutions. Collaborative academic partnerships are planned for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses.

TN Singh, Director of IIT Patna, stated the collaboration creates academic opportunities. These include enhanced global exposure and research outcomes for students and faculty. He signed the agreement with Lincoln University officials.

Details of the Agreement

The agreement was signed recently. Several IIT Patna officials were present. These included AK Thakur, Dean (Administration)-cum-Registrar, and Neeraj Rajhans.

Other attendees were NK Tomar, Associate Dean (Resource); Anup Kumar Keshri, Associate Dean (R&D); and AK Verma, Head of Civil and Environmental Engineering.

Sushant Kumar, Associate Dean (UG), and Subrata Hait, Associate Dean (PG), also participated. Dinesh Kumar Kotnees, Associate Dean (FA), and Vijay Kumar, Deputy Registrar (Academics), were present. Rakesh Kumar, Assistant Registrar (R&D and Resource), also attended.

Broader Context of International Collaborations

This partnership follows similar international collaborations by Indian institutes. In February, IIT Kharagpur signed an agreement with Russia’s Saint Petersburg Mining University. That pact also focused on student and scholar exchanges. It included faculty exchange for joint research and academic program development.
