Applications are now open for the IIT Madras Summer Fellowship Programme 2026 . The program offers undergraduate students a stipend of Rs 15,000 . The deadline to apply is March 2 .
Program Details
The fellowship runs for two months, from May 18 to July 17, 2026 . Participants will have access to hostel and mess facilities on a payment basis, subject to availability. Students currently enrolled in IITs are not eligible to apply.
The program aims to introduce students to academic research. It targets undergraduates in engineering, management, sciences, and humanities. The fellowship provides a goal-oriented internship experience.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible candidates are currently in their third year of an undergraduate engineering program. Students in the third or fourth year of an integrated or dual degree master’s program can also apply.
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit the following documents:
- Passport Size Photo
- Category Certificate (if applicable)
- Aadhar Card
- Bonafide letter from your institution
- Academic transcripts (10th, 12th, polytechnic, and all semester mark sheets) consolidated into one PDF
