IIT Delhi PhD, PG Admissions Open for International Students – Apply by March 30

IIT Delhi is now accepting applications from international students for its PhD and postgraduate (PG) programs. The deadline to apply for the 2026-27 academic year is March 30, 2026 , at 4 PM. Prospective students can submit their applications through the official IIT Delhi international admissions portal atinternational.iitd.ac.in.

Eligibility extends to non-Indian nationals. This includes individuals holding Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) cards. Applicants must submit a self-declaration of English proficiency. They also need to provide the names of two referees who will submit recommendation letters.

Referees will evaluate candidates on aptitude and field proficiency. They will also assess research potential, independent thinking, and English language skills.

Admission Requirements

IIT Delhi may require scores from national entrance exams. These include the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), CSIR, UGC NET, or DST INSPIRE. International applicants can also submit scores from exams like GRE or GMAT.

English language proficiency is mandatory. Applicants must provide scores from tests such as TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, OPI, OPIC, or the Cambridge English Examination.

Selection Process

Admission decisions will be based on interview performance. Candidates with strong academic records will be invited for an interview. This interview will be conducted by a committee of faculty members from the relevant discipline.
