Admission Details
The institute offers admission for the academic year 2026-27. Applications are open to foreign nationals, including those holding Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) cards. The application portal closes at 4 PM on March 30, 2026.
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit a statement or self-declaration of English proficiency. They also need to provide the names of two referees who will submit recommendation letters. Referees will assess a candidate’s aptitude, field proficiency, research potential, independent thinking, and English skills.
Admission may also require scores from national or international standardized tests. These include:
- National Tests: GATE, CSIR, UGC NET, DST INSPIRE.
- International Tests: GRE, GMAT.
English language proficiency test scores from exams like TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, OPI, OPIC, or Cambridge English are also necessary.
Selection Process
IIT Delhi selects candidates based on their performance in an interview. Students with strong academic records will be invited for interviews with a faculty committee from their chosen discipline.
