Admissions for International Students
Foreign nationals, including Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) and Person of Indian Origin (PIO) cardholders, can submit their applications online. The application portal is accessible through the official IIT Delhi international admissions website:international.iitd.ac.in.
Program Details and Requirements
IIT Delhi offers PhD and PG courses for the academic year 2026-27. Applicants must demonstrate English proficiency. This can be done through a self-declaration. They also need to provide the names of two referees who will submit recommendation letters.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants may need to submit scores from national-level entrance exams like GATE, CSIR, UGC NET, or DST INSPIRE. International examination scores such as GRE and GMAT may also be considered.
English language proficiency test scores from exams like TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, OPI, OPIC, or Cambridge English are required.
Selection Process
Admission to IIT Delhi’s PhD and PG programs will be based on candidate performance in an interview. Students with strong academic records will be invited for interviews. These interviews will be conducted by a faculty committee within the relevant academic discipline.
