Admissions Overview
This admission cycle is for the academic year 2026-27. Foreign nationals, including those holding Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) cards, are eligible to apply. The application window closes at 4 PM on March 30, 2026.
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit a statement declaring their English proficiency. They also need to provide the names of two referees. These referees will be contacted to provide recommendations. The referees will comment on the applicant’s aptitude, field proficiency, research potential, independent thinking, and English language skills.
Academic and Test Score Requirements
Eligibility for PhD and PG programs may require scores from standardized tests. These can include the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) or University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET), or the DST INSPIRE program. International examination scores such as Graduate Records Examination (GRE) and Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) may also be accepted.
Furthermore, candidates must submit scores from English language proficiency tests. Accepted tests include TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, OPI, OPIC, or the Cambridge English Examination. Other recognized language tests may also be considered.
Selection Process
Admission decisions are based on performance in an interview. Candidates with strong academic records will receive an invitation for this interview. The interview panel will consist of faculty members from the relevant academic discipline. The interview committee will assess candidates’ suitability for the chosen program.
