Admissions Process
Interested candidates must apply through the official IIT Delhi international admissions website at international.iitd.ac.in. The application portal closes at 4:00 PM on March 30, 2026. Applicants need to provide a statement on their English proficiency.

Eligibility and Requirements
IIT Delhi may require scores from standardized tests for eligibility. These include:
- Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)
- Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)
- University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET)
- DST INSPIRE
For international applicants, scores from exams like the Graduate Records Examination (GRE) and Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) may also be considered.
English language proficiency must be demonstrated. Accepted tests include TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, OPI, OPIC, or Cambridge English Examination. A self-declaration of English proficiency is also required.
Selection Criteria
Admission to the PhD and PG programs will be based on performance in an interview. Candidates with strong academic records will be invited to interview with a faculty committee from the relevant discipline.
