IIT Delhi opened applications for PhD and Postgraduate (PG) programs for international students. The deadline to apply is March 30, 2026 . Foreign nationals, including those with OCI or PIO cards, are eligible.
Applications are accepted for the academic year 2026-27. Candidates must apply through the official IIT Delhi international admissions website:international.iitd.ac.in. The portal closes at 4 PM on March 30, 2026.
Admission Requirements
Applicants must submit a statement of English proficiency. They also need to provide the names of two referees. Referees will be asked to evaluate candidates’ aptitude, field proficiency, research potential, and English skills.
IIT Delhi may require scores from standardized tests. These include GATE, CSIR, UGC NET, or DST INSPIRE for PhD and PG programs. International test scores like GRE and GMAT are also considered.
English language proficiency test scores are mandatory. Accepted tests include TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, OPI, OPIC, and Cambridge English Examination.
Selection Process
Admission is based on interview performance. Candidates with strong academic records will be invited for an interview. The interview panel will consist of faculty members from the relevant discipline.
