Admission Eligibility
Applications are open to foreign nationals. This includes individuals holding Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) cards. Applicants must demonstrate English proficiency.
Application Requirements
Candidates must provide a self-declaration of English language proficiency. They also need to list two referees who will submit recommendation letters. These referees will assess a candidate’s aptitude, field proficiency, research potential, and English skills.
Academic and Test Score Requirements
Eligibility for PhD and PG programs may require scores from standardized tests. These can include Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET), or DST INSPIRE. International test scores like GRE and GMAT are also considered.
Proof of English language proficiency through tests such as TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, or Cambridge English is necessary. Applicants must submit these scores.
Selection Process
IIT Delhi selects candidates based on their interview performance. Applicants with strong academic records will be invited for an interview. A committee of faculty members from the relevant discipline will conduct these interviews.
