Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) has opened applications for its PhD and Postgraduate (PG) programs. Foreign nationals can apply. The application deadline is March 30, 2026 .
Applications are accepted through the official website: international.iitd.ac.in . The portal closes at 4 PM on March 30, 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
Non-Indian citizens are eligible. This includes individuals holding Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) cards.
Applicants must provide a statement of English proficiency. They must also list two referees who will submit recommendation letters. Referees will comment on aptitude, field proficiency, research potential, independent thinking, and English skills.
Admission Requirements
Candidates may need to submit scores from national or international entrance exams. Accepted scores include:
- Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)
- Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)
- University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET)
- DST INSPIRE
- Graduate Records Examination (GRE)
- Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT)
English proficiency test scores are also required. Accepted tests include TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, OPI, OPIC, and Cambridge English Examination.
Selection Process
Admission is based on interview performance. Candidates with strong academic records will be invited for an interview. A committee of faculty members will conduct the interview.
