Admissions Overview

Eligibility Criteria
Non-Indian nationals are eligible. This includes individuals holding Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) cards. Applicants must submit a statement or self-declaration of their English proficiency. They also need to provide the names of two referees for recommendation letters.
Referees will be asked to assess candidates’ aptitude, field proficiency, research potential, independent thinking, and English language skills. This information is detailed in the official admission notification.
Required Scores and Assessments
Candidates may need to submit scores from specific entrance examinations. These can include:
- Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)
- Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)
- University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET)
- DST INSPIRE
International examination scores are also accepted, such as:

Proficiency in English will be assessed through tests like TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, OPI, OPIC, or Cambridge English Examination. Other recognized language tests may also be considered.
Selection Process
Admission will be based on interview performance. Candidates with strong academic records will be invited for an interview. The interview panel will consist of faculty members from the relevant discipline.
