Admissions Overview
Foreign nationals, including those holding Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) cards, are eligible. Applications are processed through the official IIT Delhi international admissions portal at international.iitd.ac.in.
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit a statement of English proficiency. They also need to provide the names of two referees who will submit recommendation letters. These referees will comment on a candidate’s aptitude, field proficiency, research potential, and English skills.
Standardized test scores may be required. This includes scores from tests like GATE, CSIR, UGC NET, or DST INSPIRE for PhD and PG programs. International applicants may also submit GRE or GMAT scores.
Proof of English language proficiency is mandatory. Accepted tests include TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, OPI, OPIC, and Cambridge English exams.
Selection Process
Admission is based on performance in an interview. Candidates with strong academic records will be invited to interview with a faculty committee from their chosen discipline.
