Admission Details
The application window is open for admissions in the academic years 2026-27 . The portal closes at 4:00 PM on March 30, 2026. This opportunity is for non-Indian nationals. This includes individuals holding Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) cards.
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit a statement declaring their English proficiency. They also need to provide names of two referees. These referees will submit recommendation letters for the applicant. The notification states referees will comment on the candidate’s aptitude, field proficiency, research potential, and English skills.
Eligibility Criteria
Admission to PhD and PG programs may require scores from standardized tests. These include Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), CSIR, UGC NET, or DST INSPIRE. International exam scores are also accepted. These include Graduate Records Examination (GRE) and Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT).
Candidates must also submit scores from English language proficiency tests. Accepted tests include TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, OPI, OPIC, and Cambridge English Examination. Other language tests may also be considered.
Selection Process
IIT Delhi will base admissions on interview performance. Students with strong academic records will be invited for an interview. The interview panel will consist of faculty members from the relevant discipline. This committee will assess candidates for admission.
