IIT Delhi PhD & PG Admissions for International Students Open

Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) is accepting applications for its PhD and Postgraduate (PG) programs from international students. The deadline to apply is March 30, 2026 , at 4 PM. Prospective students can submit their applications through the official IIT Delhi international admissions portal at international.iitd.ac.in.

Admission Eligibility for Foreign Nationals

Eligibility extends to non-Indian nationals. This includes individuals holding Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) cards. Applicants must demonstrate English proficiency. This can be done via a self-declaration. They also need to provide names of two referees for recommendation letters.

Required Test Scores

Candidates may need to submit scores from specific standardized tests. These include:

International examinations are also considered. These include Graduate Records Examination (GRE) and Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) scores.

English Proficiency Tests

Selection Process

Admission to IIT Delhi’s PhD and PG programs is based on interview performance. Candidates with strong academic records will be invited for interviews. An interview committee of relevant faculty members will conduct these assessments. The committee evaluates the candidate’s suitability for the chosen discipline and research program.
