Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) is accepting applications from international students for its PhD and postgraduate (PG) programs. The deadline to apply is March 30, 2026 .

Application Requirements
Applicants must submit a statement of English proficiency. They also need to provide the names of two referees. These referees will submit recommendation letters.

IIT Delhi may require scores from national entrance exams. These include Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET), or DST INSPIRE. International examination scores are also considered. These can include Graduate Records Examination (GRE) and Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT).

Admission decisions are based on interview performance. Candidates with strong academic records receive interview invitations.
