Eligibility and Application Requirements
Foreign nationals are eligible. This includes individuals holding Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) cards. Applicants must submit a statement declaring their English proficiency. They also need to provide the names of two referees who will submit recommendation letters.

Academic and Language Proficiency Scores
To be considered for PhD and PG programs, candidates may need to submit scores from standardized tests. These include the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET), or the Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (DST INSPIRE) scheme.
International examination scores such as Graduate Records Examination (GRE) and Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) may also be required. Additionally, applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency through tests like TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, OPI, OPIC, or Cambridge English Examination.
Admission Process
IIT Delhi will base admissions on interview performance. Candidates with strong academic records will receive interview invitations. The interview panel will consist of faculty members from the relevant academic disciplines.
