Eligibility and Application Requirements
Foreign nationals, including those holding Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) cards, are eligible to apply for these programs. Applicants must submit a self-declaration of English language proficiency. They will also need to provide the names of two referees who will submit recommendation letters.

Academic and Language Proficiency Scores
Admission to IIT Delhi’s PhD and PG programs may require scores from national entrance examinations. These include the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET), or the Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (DST INSPIRE) program.
International examination scores are also considered. These include the Graduate Records Examination (GRE) and Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT). Additionally, applicants must provide scores from recognized English language proficiency tests. Accepted tests include TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, OPI, OPIC, and Cambridge English Examinations.
Admission Process
IIT Delhi will offer admission based on candidate performance in an interview. Students with strong academic records will be invited to an interview. This interview will be conducted by a committee of faculty members from the relevant academic discipline.
