Admissions Overview
International students, including those with Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) cards, can apply. Applications are for the academic year 2026-27. Interested candidates must apply through the official IIT Delhi international admissions portal at international.iitd.ac.in .
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit a statement of English proficiency. They also need to provide the names of two referees. These referees will be contacted to comment on the applicant’s aptitude, field proficiency, research potential, and English skills.
IIT Delhi may require scores from national or international entrance exams. This includes tests like GATE, CSIR, UGC NET, DST INSPIRE, GRE, and GMAT. Additionally, applicants must submit scores from English language proficiency tests such as TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, OPI, OPIC, or Cambridge English Examination.
Selection Process
Admission will be based on performance in an interview. Candidates with strong academic records will receive an invitation. The interview panel will consist of faculty members from the relevant academic discipline. The interview will assess the candidate’s suitability for the program.
