The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) is accepting applications from international students for its PhD and postgraduate (PG) programs. Admission Eligibility
Eligibility is open to non-Indian nationals. This includes individuals holding Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) cards. Candidates must demonstrate English language proficiency. They need to provide a self-declaration of their English skills. Applicants must also list two referees who can submit recommendation letters.
The recommendation letters will assess a candidate’s aptitude and proficiency. Referees will comment on a student’s chosen field. Required Scores and Assessments
IIT Delhi may require scores from specific standardized tests. These include the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). The Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (DST INSPIRE) scores are also considered.
International examination scores are also relevant. These include the Graduate Records Examination (GRE). The Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) is another accepted assessment. Applicants must also submit scores from English language proficiency tests. Accepted tests include TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, OPI, OPIC, and the Cambridge English Examination.
Admission Process
Admission decisions will consider interview performance. Candidates with strong academic records will receive interview invitations. These interviews will be conducted by a committee of faculty members. The committee will be from the relevant academic discipline.
