Admission Details for International Students
Applications are open for the academic year 2026-27. The portal will close at 4:00 PM on March 30, 2026. Eligibility extends to non-Indian nationals. This includes individuals holding Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) cards.
Applicants must provide a statement declaring their English proficiency. They also need to list two referees who can submit recommendation letters. These referees will be contacted to comment on the applicant’s aptitude, field proficiency, research potential, and English communication skills, according to official notification.
Required Scores and Selection Process
For PhD and PG programs, candidates may need to submit scores from standardized tests. These include GATE, CSIR, UGC NET, or DST INSPIRE. International applicants might also present scores from exams like GRE or GMAT.
Admission decisions will be based on interview performance. Candidates with strong academic records will be invited to an interview. The interview panel will consist of faculty members from the relevant discipline. English language proficiency must also be demonstrated. Accepted tests include TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, OPI, OPIC, and Cambridge English Examination.
