IIT Bombay awarded 635 degrees at its 64th convocation on Spring 2026 . This included 430 undergraduate degrees and 161 degrees from other academic programs. 44 Executive MBA students also received degrees.
The institute also awarded 269 dual PhD degrees. These included MTech, MSc, and MPhil+PhD combinations. This took place during the Spring session convocation.
Convocation Details
The Spring session allowed students to receive degrees before the main ceremony. This is according to an official statement from IIT Bombay.
Guest Speaker Remarks
Motilal Oswal , CEO of Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd., addressed the graduates. He spoke about the current era of technological advancement.
Oswal urged graduates to invest in themselves. He advised them to stay curious and practice ethical leadership. He shared his life mantra: ‘learn, earn and return’.
Director’s Message
IIT Bombay Director Shireesh Kedare stated graduates possess strong technical skills. He added they can think critically and lead responsibly. He wished them success in their future endeavors.

The convocation was attended by faculty and students. Viay Ramani , Senior Vice Provost from Washington University in St. Louis, USA, was also present.
