IIM Tiruchirappalli (IIM Trichy) has released its first independently audited placement report for the 2024-25 academic year. The report details placement outcomes for both the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM) and the PGPM-Human Resources (HR) programs.

This audit process externally verified all data related to placements. This includes compensation figures and recruiter participation. The measure ensures accuracy and transparency in the institute’s placement reporting.

PGPM Final Placement Overview

The final placement process for the PGPM batch saw participation from 189 companies. These firms offered diverse roles across various industries.

The highest Cost to Company (CTC) recorded for a PGPM student reached Rs 43.94 lakh . This figure represents the top compensation package secured by a student in the program.

The average CTC for PGPM graduates stood at Rs 19.27 lakh . This reflects the overall compensation trend for the program’s cohort.

PGPM-HR Final Placement Details

The PGPM-HR program attracted 40 companies for its final placement drive. These companies specifically sought talent for human resources roles.

For PGPM-HR students, the highest CTC achieved was Rs 33.12 lakh . This demonstrates strong demand for specialized HR professionals.

The average CTC for the PGPM-HR batch was Rs 17.84 lakh . This figure provides insight into typical earnings for graduates from this specialized management program.

Summer Placement Highlights

IIM Trichy’s summer placement process involved over 150 companies. This drive provided internship opportunities for students.

Among the participating firms, 50 companies were new recruiters for the institute. This indicates expanding industry partnerships.

The highest stipend offered to a PGPM student during the summer placements reached Rs 3.5 lakh . This amount represents a high earning for an internship period.

PGPM-HR students secured a highest stipend of Rs 2 lakh during their summer internships.

Recruiters represented a range of key sectors. These included Information Technology, Consulting, Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI), Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Operations, and Public Sector enterprises.

Audit Ensures Credibility and Transparency

The institute stated the external audit aligns with its goal of maintaining data credibility. It also aims to standardise placement reporting practices across the institution.

This initiative follows IIM Tiruchirappalli’s recent re-accreditation by the Association of MBAs (AMBA). The institute also secured the 16th position in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025 management category. These achievements underscore its academic standing.

Director of IIM Tiruchirappalli, Pawan Kumar Singh, commented on the importance of the audited report. He stated, “This audited placement report is more than a milestone. It is a statement of trust. By embracing transparency, IIM Tiruchirappalli demonstrates to recruiters that they can rely on us for accurate insights into the capabilities of our students.”
