IIM Kozhikode Welcomes 683 EPGP-IL Participants, 29% Women

The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIM Kozhikode) has inducted 683 participants into its 18th Executive Post Graduate Programme – Interactive Learning (EPGP–IL) batch. Women comprise 29% of the new cohort, marking a significant representation in the executive management program. This program delivers interactive, centre-based sessions across 67 learning centres nationwide, offering a flexible learning model for working professionals.

About the EPGP–IL Programme

The EPGP–IL program is designed for working executives seeking advanced management education. It is delivered through IIM Kozhikode’s technology partner, TimesPro. Participants engage in live, interactive online sessions from their nearest learning centres. These sessions are structured over six academic sections, providing a comprehensive and structured learning experience.

This interactive learning format enables participants to pursue a rigorous postgraduate management qualification without interrupting their professional commitments. The program aims to bridge geographical distances, offering a national classroom experience. IIM Kozhikode states the EPGP–IL curriculum integrates theoretical frameworks, strategic insights, and leadership training. Its goal is to equip executives with the skills necessary to navigate complex business challenges and assume leadership roles in a global environment.

The 18th EPGP–IL batch features a diverse group of professionals. Participants come with varied age profiles and extensive work experience across multiple industries.

Almost half of the participants, specifically 49.5% , are aged between 30 and 39 years. Another 39% fall into the 24–29 years age bracket, while 11% are above 40 years old.

The Information Technology (IT) sector has the largest representation, accounting for 29% of the total participants. Consulting follows as the second-largest sector, contributing 10% to the cohort.

Leadership Statement

Debashis Chatterjee, Director of IIM Kozhikode, addressed the new batch, highlighting the evolving landscape of Indian leadership. “The EPGP–18 cohort reflects the changing face of Indian leadership,” Chatterjee stated. “They are ambitious, diverse, digitally fluent, and deeply rooted in experience.”

Chatterjee emphasized the institute’s commitment to inclusive management education. “The record number of participants and the strong presence of women professionals reaffirm our belief.
