IGNOU PGDRPC Entrance Test 2026 Registration Opens

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has opened registration for the Postgraduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Psychology (PGDRPC) entrance test for the July 2026 session. Interested candidates can apply online at ignoupgdrpc.samarth.edu.in. The registration deadline is March 5, 2026 .

Entrance Test Details

The entrance test fee is ₹1,000 . The PGDRPC program has a total intake of 200 seats for the July 2026 cycle. Up to 25 seats are available at each regional or work center. Reservations will be applied according to Government of India norms.

Admission is based on the entrance test score. The test consists of 50 multiple-choice questions worth a total of 200 marks. Each correct answer earns four marks. One mark is deducted for each incorrect response. The exam is administered offline and lasts 90 minutes.

A region-wise merit list will be prepared. This list considers minimum eligibility, entrance test scores, category (unreserved, SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PwD, EWS), and the candidate’s preferred regional center.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet specific academic requirements to be eligible. These are set by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) regulations.

  • Bachelor’s degree with general psychology as a subject in all three years.
  • OR Master’s degree in Psychology or Counselling Psychology from a UGC-recognized university.

Application Process

Applicants must register online via the Samarth portal. This involves creating a profile, entering required details, and uploading necessary documents. Candidates can select up to three regional centers during application.

The total program fee is ₹22,000 . IGNOU advises applicants to check the official website for updates on the entrance examination and merit list. No hard copy applications will be accepted.
