The registration deadline for Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) January 2026 admissions to Open and Distance Learning (ODL) programs is today, February 15. Students must submit their application on the official website, ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
A fee of Rs 300 is required to apply for IGNOU’s January 2026 ODL programs. Applicants need to have their Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR ID) ready before starting the application. Creating a DEB ID is also mandatory for ODL application submission.
Application Requirements
Applicants must upload specific documents. These include a scanned photograph and signature, each under 100 KB. Copies of educational certificates are also necessary. Depending on the program, candidates may need to upload experience certificates or category certificates, such as for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), or Other Backward Classes (OBC).

IGNOU offers a range of ODL programs. Refund Policy
Candidates who cancel their IGNOU admission after confirmation will incur a deduction. The deduction is 15% of the fee, capped at Rs 2,000 . No refund will be issued if cancellation occurs more than 60 days after admission.
Scholarship Information
Eligible students can apply for Government of India scholarships. Applications should be submitted on the National Scholarship Portal, scholarships.gov.in. This is available after admission confirmation.
