The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is closing its Bachelor of Education (BEd) registration on February 27 . Students can apply for the program online at ignou-bed.samarth.edu.in.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible, applicants must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree. Specific requirements include:
- At least 50% marks in science, social science, commerce, or humanities.
- At least 55% marks for engineering or technology graduates specializing in science and mathematics.
Candidates from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC – Non-Creamy Layer), and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories need a minimum of 45% to apply.
Application Details
There is no age limit for IGNOU BEd admissions. The application fee is ₹1,000 for all candidates. Payment can be made via credit/debit card or online banking.
Entrance Exam Information
The entrance test will be conducted offline. The exam will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). It will have a duration of two hours .
Admission will be based on entrance exam scores. IGNOU will prepare a merit list for each region.
